Kyrgyzstan not to seek higher rent from Russia for air base - PM

NOVO-OGARYOVO, near Moscow. March 21 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan will no longer seek higher rent for the Russian an air base in the Central Asian country, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev said.

"As regards the military base, we have been raising the issue of raising the rent, other issues. As I promised to you, we have taken that issue off the agenda, we have decided that it's wrong to haggle about this - about the security of our country," Atambayev said during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
