MAKHACHKALA. March 22 (Interfax) - Two men suspected of killing a bailiff have been killed while resisting police in the village of Kani, Kulinsky district of Dagestan, a source in the district administration told Interfax.
"We are getting contradictory information. According to our information, three suspects were blocked in the house, two of them have been killed. The special operation continues," the source said.
"The suspects responded to an offer to surrender by opening fire. Two of them were killed," the source said.
According to the Investigations Committee, investigative actions and operational search activities aimed at detaining the third suspect are now being conducted.
The Russian National Anti-Terrorist Committee told Interfax earlier that the legal counter-terrorist operation regime was imposed in the village of Kani, Kulinsky district of Dagestan, at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
