MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax-AVN) - The organizing committee of the 10th international air show, MAKS-2011, to be held in Zhukovsky near Moscow on August 16 to 21, has discussed preparations for the air show, the public relations service of the Aviasalon company, the organizer of the air show, has reported.
"The aerobatics group of the Russian Air Force, and the aerobatics group Rus have tentatively agreed to participate. Talks are on with Patrouille de France, Patrulla Aguila of Spain, and with Airbus (France) and Boeing Company (U.S.)," the public relations service said in a statement, available to Interfax-AVN on Friday.
The flight program will include a show of latest civil and military aircraft, and demonstration flights. A large exhibit of American warplanes will be deployed at a static site. An F-15E fighter jet will participate in the flight program. The show will feature Antonov planes, AugustaWestland helicopters, the Czech plane L-410UVP-20 and other aircraft.
A day of official delegations will be held as usual, with the Russian leadership and leaders of official delegations attending. In this connection, on August 16, on the first day of the show, only company executives, participants in the talks, accredited reporters and guests with personal passes will be allowed into the show premises," the statement says.
