Militant killed in Ingushetia - NAC

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - One militant has been killed and another wounded in an armed clash in Ingushetia's Sunzha district, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) informed Interfax.

"Residents of the village of Muzhichi in Ingushetia's Sunzha district had reported several cow and horse theft incidents between April 9 and 11," the NAC said.

A group of up to six militants was spotted on Monday morning in a mountainous and forested area near a place, where stolen cattle were being slaughtered. "A militant was killed after he offered resistance and another was wounded. The rest fled," the NAC said.

Weapons and ammunition, and three Russian passports under other citizens' names were found on the killed militant.

"The surviving militants are being chased. None of the police has been killed," according to the NAC.
