Smolensk air crash investigation conclusions must be clear to public - Medvedev (Part 2)

SMOLENSK. April 11 (Interfax) - Criminal and legal aspects of the investigation into the crash of the Polish president's plane near Smolensk must be made public, President Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski in Smolensk on Monday.

"As for the investigation and criminal and legal aspects, the probe goes on, and clear conclusions must be drawn in public in keeping with the law," he said.

"Anyway, everything that is being done now must be brought to the end. This is the duty of governmental agencies and investigators," he said.

The media had been giving much attention to the investigation progress, Medvedev said.

'The Russian position is well known: the Interstate Aviation Committee made a technical examination and its results were published," he said.

"Naturally, there may be different interpretations of these results, but the work is done," he said.
