Search launched for most likely bombing suspect - Belarus KGB

MINSK. April 12 (Interfax) - The Belarusian law enforcement services, probing Monday's metro bombing in Minsk, have obtained a tip-of on the most likely bombing suspect, the Belarusian state security committee KGB told Interfax.

"Information has been obtained about the most likely bombing suspect. A search has been launched," the KGB said.

The bomb was equivalent to 5 kilograms of TNT, the KGB said, citing experts.

"It was filled with cut metal rods, 80 to 80 millimeter metal nails, and metal balls with a diameter of about 15 millimeters. It was planted near a bench on the platform," a KGB spokesman said.
