Four police generals lose senior university positions

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has sacked four police major generals and one colonel, who was the first deputy head of the Interior Ministry's 2014 Olympics Center, the Kremlin said.

The officers sacked by the head of state are: Police Maj. Gen. Viktor Bereket, deputy head of the Interior Ministry St. Petersburg University; Police Maj. Gen. Leonid Borodavko, deputy head of the Interior Ministry St. Petersburg University; Police Maj. Gen. Vitaly Bocharov, head of the Interior Ministry Kaliningrad Law Institute; and Maj. Gen. Alexander Guk, head of the Interior Ministry Ural Law Institute.

Another sacked officer is Police Col. Sergei Seliverstov, first deputy head of the Interior Ministry 2014 Olympics Center.
