35 kilos of opium routed for Russia seized in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK. May 12 (Interfax) - A drug dealer carrying 35 kilograms of opium was seized in Bishkek, a source at the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.

The drugs were seized from a train conductor at the Bishkek railroad terminal, he said.

The search of the man's sport bag revealed 20 kilograms of opium, and 15 more kilograms of opium were found in his car.

The drugs were routed for Russia, the Interior Ministry said.
