Manipulation of Libya resolutions undermines UN authority - Medvedev

SKOLKOVO, Moscow region. May 18 (Interfax) - The Western countries are undermining UN authority by violating its resolutions on Libya, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.

"The ensuing developments have shown that such resolutions cannot be manipulated. This is sad, because it undermines the UN's authority," Medvedev said at a press conference on Wednesday.

"But nevertheless I believe these resolutions were important in the general context, because they showed the countries' common concern," he said.
