Bomb found in sewage hole in Ingushetia

NAZRAN. May 19 (Interfax) - An improvised explosive device has been found in a sewage hole in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya in Ingushetia's Sunzha district, a spokesman for the republic's Interior Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.

"The improvised bomb was discovered after a detained militant told the police that he had left an explosive device in a sewage hole near House No. 23 on Demchenko Street," the spokesman said.

"Sappers who found the bomb decided to dispose of it at the site," he said.

An investigation continues.

A source in law enforcement services told Interfax earlier that the bomb contained the equivalent of 200 grams of TNT and was filled with pieces of metal.
