MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Russia's Chief Military Prosecutor Sergei Fridinsky has confirmed the absence of any reasons to re-launch an investigation into the Katyn massacre, the mass execution of Polish nationals by the Soviet secret police NKVD in April-May 1940.
"There is a Supreme Court decision rejecting any grounds for it," Fridinsky said.
"The statute of limitation on this crime expired a long time ago, and all of those who were found guilty are dead," he said.
