Russian Helicopters to supply over 30 helicopters to Chinese Emergency Situations Ministry

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Helicopters Holding may soon sign a contract on 30 multirole helicopters Kamov Ka-32 A11VS, Holding General Director Dmitry Petrov said at the HeliRussia 2011 show in Moscow.

"We are working on a contract to supply 30 Kamov helicopters to the Chinese Emergency Situations Ministry. That would be fire-fighting helicopters Kamov Ka-32 A11VS," he said.

The delivery of 32 Mil Mi-171 helicopters to China continues under a contract signed last year, Petrov said.

Ka-32 A11VS is engineered at the Kamov Design Bureau, a component of Russian Helicopters. The Kumertau aircraft plant produces the helicopter serially. More than 140 helicopters have been built; they are being used in over 30 countries.
