MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Two general directors of defense companies have been dismissed and six disciplined for failing to fulfill the 2010 government defense contract, Russian Technologies (Rostekhnologii) Chief Sergei Chemezov reported to President Dmitry Medvedev.
"Administrative and disciplinary measures have been taken over the instances of failure to fulfill certain government defense assignments, including on priority types of weapons, military and special hardware," Chemezov said.
The sacked directors are N. Platonov of the Poisk Research Institute and V. Edvabnik of the Research Institute of Electronic Devices. Both have been fired for disrupting the supply of fuses for multiple-launch rocket systems.
