Domodedovo suicide bomber's sister, fellow villager released from custody

NAZRAN. May 20 (Interfax) - The Domodedovo suicide bomber's sister Fatima Yevloyeva and his fellow villager Umar Aushev have been released from custody, the suspects' defense lawyer Umar Khayauri told Interfax.

"The criminal cases started against my clients on several counts, including terrorism and banditry, have been closed and they have been released from custody. Investigators have no more questions to them," he said.

The suicide bomber's brother Akhmed Yevloyev remains in custody, he added.

The lawyer also said he is absolutely satisfied with the investigators' decision as his clients were innocent people.

"Their only guilt is that Fatima is the suicide bomber's sister and Aushev gave him a lift in his car before the terrorist left for Moscow," the lawyer said.

A suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowd of people in the arrivals area at the Domodedovo airport on January 24 2011. Thirty-seven people were killed and more than 120 injured in the blast.
