VLADIKAVKAZ. May 20 (Interfax) - Two of South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity's bodyguards were killed at a night club in Vladikavkaz early on Friday, South Ossetia's Investigative Committee told Interfax.

The killer was arrested after he turned himself in to police, an Investigative Committee official said.

According to the North Ossetian Police, the incident occurred at 4:35 a.m., Moscow time at the Retro night club. The murdered persons are Deputy Head of the South Ossetian president's bodyguard service Alim Kabulov, aged 30, and his colleague, native of South Ossetia Oleg Isayev, aged 32, the Interior Ministry told Interfax.

The killer is a 35-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz, who turned himself in to police on Friday morning, the Interior Ministry said.

The two men were killed after an argument between the suspect and the victims, according to immediate reports. During a fight the suspect snatched a pistol from one of the bodyguards and shot and skilled both. "The fight was caught by a video camera, which will be used as evidence, plus eye witnesses' accounts," the ministry said.

The South Ossetian president's administration confirmed to Interfax that the president's bodyguards were killed in North Ossetia, but declined to provide official commentaries.
