VLADIVOSTOK. May 20 (Interfax) - A force of warships of the Russian Pacific Fleet, comprised of the large submarine chaser Admiral Panteleyev and the rescue tugboat Foty Krylov, finished an unofficial visit to Singapore on Wednesday and headed to Indonesia, the Pacific Fleet has reported.
"While in Singapore, the crewmembers attended the UIMDEX international arms show, held joint anti-pirate exercises and took part in official and unofficial events with their Singaporean colleagues, including a football and volleyball match. The crew also received visitors," the Pacific Fleet said.
The warships are now on their way to Indonesia to visit Port Ujung Pandang.
"In accordance with the plan of the visit, Russian and Indonesian sailors will hold scheduled exercises to practice maneuvering and rescue operations, and discuss ways to counter pirate attacks," it said.
