Russia to launch second weather satellite in September 2012 - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax-AVN) - The launch of the second Russian weather satellite Meteor-M is scheduled for the fall 2012, the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) said.

At a meeting held at the All-Russian Research Institute of Electrical Engineering on May 18 the board of chief design engineers decided on organizational and technical measures to ensure the set deadline for the satellite launch in September 2012, the agency said on its website on Friday.

The first Meteor-M satellite was launched in September 2009.
