Orkuashvili will be arrested as soon as he crosses Georgian border - official

TBILISI. May 23 (Interfax) - The Georgian Interior Ministry is determined to arrest former Defense Minister Irakly Okruashvili, if he returns to Georgia, head of the ministry's analysis and information department Shota Utiashvili told the press on Sunday.

"He will be immediately arrested, if he crosses the border of Georgia," the ministry official said.

He added that the arrest will be made in relation to a criminal case of corruption and abuse of power launched against Okruashvili.

On Sunday Okruashvili said on a live show of Maestro TV channel that he will be in Tbilisi on May 25 and that the power of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will be done away with on that day.
