Russian Air Defense chief dismissed from military service (Part 2)

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has relieved from his duties and dismissed from military service Air Defense Chief and Deputy Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Sergei Razygrayev.

The corresponding presidential decree is posted on the Kremlin website.

The same decree dismisses Chief of the Zhukov Aerospace Defense Academy Lt. Gen. Khajibikar Ukurov and Deputy Chief of the Air Force training center Maj. Gen. Valery Konurkin.

Maj. Gen. Leonid Melnik and Maj. Gen. Nikolai Smarshchek were also dismissed from military service.

Defense Ministry spokesman for the Air Force Col. Vladimir Drik told Interfax-AVN that Razygrayev "was dismissed from the Armed Forces upon reaching the age limit."
