Space tourist wants to fly to Moon on board Russian Soyuz - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Federal Space Agency has information about a potential space tourist who is willing to fly around the Moon on board Russia's Soyuz spacecraft, Roscosmos manned spaceflights program director Alexei Krasnov said.

"I have heard that a candidate has already emerged who is ready to pay big money," Krasnov said at a news conference at the Mission Control Center outside Moscow.

The question surrounding possible visits to the International Space Station by space tourists in 2013 will be sorted out in August, he said.
