TBILISI. May 24 (Interfax) - The Georgian ex-defense minister and one of the leaders of the opposition Georgian Party will not come to his home country on May 25, Georgian media outlets said, citing the Georgian Party.
The reason for this decision is the refusal by the Popular Assembly, a public organization currently staging a protest in Tbilisi, to cooperate and coordinate actions with the Georgian Party, the party said.
"We are renouncing the May 25th protest we have announced earlier and giving full freedom of action to the Popular Assembly," the Georgian Party said.
Speeches about the regime change will be made at some other time, the party said.
