Two militants surrender in Ingushetia

NAZRAN. May 26 (Interfax) - Two Nazran residents who were members of an illegal armed group have surrendered in Ingushetia.

"Two residents of Nazran were made to surrender. The young men fully understood the illegality of their actions. A check has been carried out that has established that they did not commit any crime besides membership in an illegal armed group," the Ingush Interior Ministry told Interfax on Wednesday.

The young men cooperated with investigators. They acknowledge their guilt and are not public enemies, it said.
