Kazakhstan not to take part in Afghanistan fighting - ministry

ASTANA. May 26 (Interfax) - A recent agreement on Kazakhstan's contribution to NATO's current military operation in Afghanistan does not involve Kazakh participation in any hostilities, the Kazakh Defense Ministry said.

The accord, ratified by the lower house of Kazakhstan's parliament last week, prescribes that Kazakhstan delegate four persons to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) - a coordinator, an analyst, a logistics officer and a health officer, the ministry said in a press release.
