YEREVAN. May 26 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian has called on Azerbaijan to recognize the right of people of the breakaway republic of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination.
"First of all, Azerbaijan should agree to the proposal of the international community that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh should decide on the Nagorno-Karabakh status through a legally binding expression of their will," Nalbandian said in the Armenian parliament.
"The Azeri authorities should prepare their public opinion for this proposal," he said.
