BEIJING. May 26 (Interfax) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-il arrived in Beijing on Wednesday morning, China's Dongfang satellite TV channel reported.
"Kim Jong-il and people accompanying him arrived in Beijing in a special train at 9 a.m. on Wednesday," the TV channel reported.
It is expected that Kim will hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, at which the parties will discuss bilateral relations and international problems, including the resumption of six-party talks on the Korean peninsula nuclear problem.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has not confirmed the arrival of the North Korean leader.
It is a common practice that the international relations department of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee report on Kim's visits after he leaves China.
