MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax-AVN) - A Proton-M Russian heavy rocket will carry the EchoStar 16 U.S. telecom satellite to orbit next year, International Launch Services said.
U.S. Space Systems/Loral will build the satellite, which weighs over 6.6 tons. It will have 32 Ku-transponders for the EchoStar DISH Network and a useful life of 15 years.
