DEAUVILLE. May 27 (Interfax) - G8 leaders have backed the statement by U.S. President Barack Obama about the need to create the Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, according to their joint statement adopted after the G8 summit in Deauville on Friday.
"We express our strong support for the vision of Israeli-Palestinian peace outlined by President Obama on May 19, 2011," the document said.
