DEAUVILLE. May 27 (Interfax) - Differences remain between Russia and the United States in the assessment of the timeframe for a possible missile threat arising from a number of countries, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
A day earlier Russian and U.S. experts presented a joint report on the assessment of missile threats prepared by the bilateral Presidential Commission.
"There are differences in our assessments of the timeframe and the reality of acquiring by a well-known group of nations the potential to develop ballistic missiles. We and Americans have different views on when these countries can acquire the relevant potential, if at all," Ryabkov said, responding to a question posed by Interfax in Deauville on Friday.
