DEAUVILLE. May 27 (Interfax) - Russia can mediate the Libyan settlement process, but talks should not be held with Quadhafi himself, but with people from his entourage, said Russia's special envoy for the Middle East and African Mikhail Margelov.
"The solution to the current situation is in achieving political agreements," Margelov told journalists in Deauville.
"[Russia] is not bombarding Libya, it did not evacuate its embassy, and so it could act as an honest mediator," he said.
