MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - The number of police officers in Moscow will be reduced by 10,000 as a result of the Interior Ministry reform," Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the head of the Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow, told a press conference in Moscow on Monday.
Kolokoltsev said this decision will not make the Moscow police less efficient.
"It's not about the number, it's about the professionalism of the police officers who will become members of the renewed units," he said.
"Another important issue is the level of people's trust in police officers," Kolokoltsev said.
