Medvedev dismisses several high-ranking Russian military

MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has issued a decree dismissing several high-ranking Russian military officials.

Namely he removed from duty and dismissed from military service chief of logistics of the Aerospace Defense Force Maj. Gen. Sergei Goman, chief of logistics of the Northern Fleet Rear Adm. Yury Lichkaty, commander of the 62nd rocket division Col. Yury Kashlev, and commander of the 7th rocket division Col. Alexander Galaktionov. He also dismissed Rear Adm. Yury Rebyonok from military service.

By the same decree Col. Vadim Shamarin was appointed chief of staff the Eastern Military District for communications.
