MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - Russia will seek a safe "corridor" for the Russian president's special representative for Africa Mikhail Margelov during his trip to Libya, Russia's NATO ambassador Dmitry Rogozin announced Thursday.
"As soon as I have the necessary information about his trip, we will ensure a safe 'corridor' for him through our contacts with NATO," he said on Rossiya 24 television.
Rogozin reiterated Moscow's call for political dialogue as the only possible solution to the Libyan conflict.
"Our position is very simple: it is necessary to assist political dialogue. Hence, President Dmitry Medvedev's decision to send his special envoy Margelov to the region for talks with both parties," he added.
