Unemployed man carrying ten kilograms of amphetamine seized in St. Petersburg suburb

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Nearly ten kilograms of amphetamine were seized from a man at the Ladozhsky railroad terminal in the Leningrad region, a police source told Interfax on Monday.

"The police seized a 34-year-old unemployed man at the Ladozhsky railroad terminal on Saturday. He was carrying a bag with a suspicious powder, which looked like a drug. The suspect was detained, and the powder was sent to a lab for testing," he said.

The lab said on Sunday that the bag contained 9.8 kilograms of amphetamine.

Criminal charges may soon be brought against the man, who was tried for a similar crime earlier.
