ASTANA. July 29 (Interfax) - U.S. Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman will visit Kazakhstan on August 1.
Grossman will meet with high-ranking Kazakh officials as part of U.S. consultations with Afghanistan's neighbors and foreign partners, the U.S. embassy in Kazakhstan said in a statement on Friday.
Grossman was appointed U.S. special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan in February 2011 to replace the late ambassador Richard Holbrooke.
