MINSK. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Two Belarusian citizens, Vlad Kovalev and Dmitry Konovalov, have been charged with the April 2011 explosions in the Minsk metro and also with explosions in Minsk and Vitebsk in 2005 and 2008, Belarus' Deputy Prosecutor General Andrey Shved has told reporters.
When asked whether the defendants could face the death penalty, he said that the punishment would be determined by the court.
The punishments for terrorism-related crimes also include the death penalty, Shved said.
