MOSCOW. Aug 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The developers of the Tiger tethered aerostat, commissioned by the Defense Ministry, are completing a set of additional tests, board chairman at Avgur Rosaerosistemy Gennady Verba told Interfax-AVN.
"The system with the Tiger tethered aerostat has successfully completed inter-agency tests earlier. Additional tests were required for a certain part of the airborne equipment. In the very near future, after full completion of this work, the system will start undergoing the state tests," Verba said.
The aerostat's payload weight could reach 500 kilograms, he said.
"The state tests of the entire system with the Tiger aerostat will be completed this year," Verba said.
