MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The chief of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center's capital construction division has been detained on suspicion of accepting a bribe, the Russian Investigative Committee said on its website on Saturday.
"The Russian Investigative Committee's Main Investigative Department for the Moscow Region has opened a criminal case in relation to Alexander Samsonenko, 48, who heads the capital construction division of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training center, on suspicion of accepting a bribe," it said.
Samsonenko was detained in his car in the town of Shcholkovo as he was accepting a 2.5-million ruble bribe from the deputy general director of a commercial organization in exchange for victory in an open auction for repair works at Hotel Orbita, according to investigators.
