YEKATERINBURG. Aug 8 (Interfax-AVN) - About 300 Russian and foreign plants have confirmed their participation in the 8th international arms show, Nizhny Tagil 2011, due on September 8-11, the information policy department of the Sverdlovsk regional governor said.
These include the Sozvezdiye Concern, the Tactical Missile Armaments Corporation, the Almaz-Antei Concern, the Military Industrial Company, Oboronservice and KAMAZ.
Roundtables and conferences held on the show sidelines will focus on the innovative development and modernization of defense plants, a contribution of higher educational establishments to defense sector innovations, and public-private partnership in defense production.
A number of foreign companies, such as Iveco Defense Vehicles, Renault Trucks Defense and Nexter, will present their products, including those operating, at the show. France, Ukraine and Belarus will have national pavilions in Nizhny Tagil.
The show is an annual event. A total of 252 plants from 30 Russian regions and foreign states presented over 2,200 exhibits last year. Some 34,535 people visited the show within four days.
