MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Helicopters holding company is actively promoting the Kazan Helicopter Plant's light, multi-purpose helicopter, "Ansat," to the foreign markets, including South Africa, which may open its licensed production, the company's General Director, Dmitry Petrov, told journalists on Wednesday.
"A number of Latin American and African countries took an interest in the helicopter. In particular, we are in talks with South African partners, from whom we have received an offer to create the so-called African helicopter at the Ansat facilities and even launch its production in South Africa," Petrov said.
The Ansat helicopter is made by the Kazan Helicopter Plant, which is part of Russian Helicopters.
