Local man killed in Nazran

NAZRAN. Aug 11 (Interfax) - A local resident has been shot dead in the city of Nazran in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus.

"Four men wearing ski masks and dressed in camouflage burst into a privately owned house and fired their automatic weapons at a local resident, who died immediately," a source in Ingushetia's law enforcement services told Interfax.

The incident occurred on Nazran's Tsechoyev Street at 9:30 p.m. Moscow time, he said.

The attackers fled in a car, the source said.

An investigation is under way.
