MAKHACHKALA. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Three suspected militants have been killed in an armed clash with policemen in the village of Vitsiyatli, the Tsunta district of Dagestan, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) told Interfax based on updated reports.
The skirmish started at about noon. The policemen came under fire when they were inspecting houses in the village door-to-door.
"The house from which fire had been opened was encircled. Three militants were killed in the battle. One policeman was also killed and two others wounded," the NAC said.
