MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - All of the six militants, including one woman, killed in a counter-terrorism operation in Makhachkaka, the capital of the Republic of Dagestan in Russia's North Caucasus, have been identified, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) told Interfax on Thursday evening.
"The number and identities of the neutralized militants have already been established. A total of six gang members, including one woman, were eliminated during the counter-terrorism operation. All of them were members of an odious gang active in the city of Makhachkala and its suburbs, as well as in the Untsukul and Buinaksk districts of the republic," the committee said.
The killed militants include Abdulla Magomedaliyev, also known as Daud, who was suspected of involvement in a series of major terrorist attacks, including in Buinaksk in September 2010 and in the town of Gubden in February 2011.
