Tehran and Moscow can propose common solutions to current intl problems - Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN/MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Iran and Russia can offer common solutions to many international problems as well as improve bilateral relations, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said in an exclusive interview with RT channel.

"Iran and Russia can offer common solutions to current international problems," he said. "Both sides should improve their ties and contacts. We also intend to expand our consultation ties. I hope that in this way we will be able to improve our bilateral relations," he said.

"We have many things in common. And this common is not directed against other countries. On the contrary they are in the interests of all countries," he said. "We should skillfully use all these resources and common approaches," he added.

"Iran and Russia are two neighbors and geographically will always remain such. We should remain friends and should understand each other's languages," Ahmadinejad said. "Every year I had successful talks with Vladimir Putin. I also had very useful talks with President Medvedev," he said. "I hope we will be able to expand our bilateral relations, especially, when it concerns current economic and political changes in the world," he said.
