Deal on sale of 40 Mi-171 helicopters worth over 11 bln rubles

ZHUKOVSKY. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Russian Helicopters Holding general director Dmitry Petrov has estimated the price of a contract on the sale of 40 Mil Mi-171 helicopters at more than 11 billion rubles.

A Mi-171 deal with the UTair company was announced on Tuesday, but it will be signed on Wednesday in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Deliveries of helicopters to the air carrier are expected to start in 2012 and finish in 2013.

UTair fleet management director Alexei Budnik, for his part, told journalists that the airline also planned to sign a confirmed contract with Russian Helicopters on the delivery of ten Mil Mi-34 S1 helicopters before the end of the year.
