ZHUKOVSKY. Aug 18 (Interfax) - United Engine Corporation plans to invest 3 billion rubles expanding capacity to produce the SaM-146 engine for the Sukhoi SuperJet-100, Oboronprom chief Andrei Reus told reporters.
"We'll invest 3 billion rubles in additional capacity in order to produce 150 engines per year," Reus said, adding that the funding issue would be resolved this autumn.
"We'll be using our own money, we won't be asking the state," Reus said.
The engine corporation's managing director, Dmitry Kolodyazhny, said the corporation would supply United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) with more than 30 engines this year.
