Syrian opposition gives conditions for dialogue with authorities

MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Syrian opposition leaders are saying they are ready for dialogue with the authorities under certain conditions, but do not believe the current regime.

"The opposition is always ready for dialogue with the authorities, but our experience shows that there is no confidence in this administration," opposition leader Vaji Mustafa told a press conference at Interfax.

Mustafa said several conditions have to be fulfilled to restore confidence, and the first condition is the elimination of the dictatorship of the special services in the country.

"The main thing is to get rid of these special services, resume their normal operation," he said.

"The second step is to withdraw troops from cities, release political prisoners, and create an investigations committee to investigate the events in Syria," he said.
