Eight Russian plants to display their products at MILIPOL 2011 (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian plants will present aiming sights and some other exhibits at the MILIPOL 2011 international security show in Paris on October 18-21.

"The Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service views the participation in the MILIPOL 2011 international security show as an important phase in the development and strengthening of business relations between Russia and military-technical cooperation partners," the service said in a report posted on its website on Monday.

Rostekhnologii Corporation is the organizer of the Russian exhibition. Eight Russian plants will present 56 exhibits, including two full-size samples - a rifle night aiming sign and a firearm aiming sight.

The exhibition presents computer, radio and television gadgets, air-, land- and sea-based mobile systems, armaments and ammunition, optical and electronic gadgets, uniforms, first aid kits, demining and explosive detection systems, armor and so on.

Rosoboronexport predicted a keen interest in Russian products at the upcoming show. "In recent years, we have witnessed a steady growth of the demand for domestically made hardware. Due to the instability in certain regions, the trend may persist," Rosoboronexport delegation head Valery Varlamov said. The corporation quoted him in a statement received by Interfax-AVN on Monday.

Rosoboronexport said that the exhibition would present PSM, PMM and SR-1M pistols, Bizon-2-01 and SR-2M machinegun pistols, Kalashnikov submachine guns of the new series, AM small-size machine guns, AS specialized weapons, RPK-201, Pecheneg and Kord machineguns and SVD and VSS sniper rifles.

The company will present other close combat weaponry, as well, such as RPG-7V1, RGS-33 and AGS-30 grenade launchers, various aiming sights and firearms ammunition.

Besides that, it will present the Tiger multi-role armored crossover, the unified radar system for tracking moving land targets Kredo-1E and the portable reconnaissance and targeting army radar Fara-1.
