Policeman's house attacked in Ingushetia

NAZRAN. Oct 18 (Interfax) - A house belonging to a police officer in the rank of major in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya in Ingushetia came under fire on Monday evening.

"At around 9:00 p.m. Moscow time, unknown people armed with automatic weapons opened fire on the gates of a house where an officer of the Ingush Interior Ministry's public order protection department lives. No one was killed or injured in the attack," a source in the republic's law enforcement services told Interfax.

Investigators are working at the site, he said.

A search for the attackers is under way.
