Those guilty of major space accidents must be held criminally liable - Prosecutor General's Office

MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - The Prosecutor General's Office has urged the Russian leadership to introduce criminal liability for employees of commercial organizations if their activity leads to major space accidents.

"The Prosecutor General's Office has referred a letter to the Russian leadership proposing that the Criminal Code be supplemented with provisions establishing criminal liability for employees of commercial organizations, whose work caused major space accidents and subsequent serious damage," spokeswoman Marina Gridneva told Interfax.
