Space services center to be formed at Far East Federal University

MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian space agency Roscosmos' representative company REKOD and the Far East Federal University have signed an agreement on cooperation in using the results of space projects, REKOD Press Secretary Andrei Stanavov told Interfax-AVN.

"REKOD Corporation and the Far East Federal University have pledged to provide information-analytical and scientific-methodological backing to agreements between the federal space agency and the Primorye authorities in using the results of space projects," he said.

A basic innovative-educational space services center, to be formed at the university, is expected to become an important aspect of such cooperation, he also said.

"REKOD has won the tender for establishing the Khabarovsk territorial space services center, which lays solid groundwork for an accelerated application in the Far East of innovative regional governance methods, on the basis of results of space projects," he said.
